As a business owner, there may come a time when you feel you need to take on extra staff to deal with the increase in demand for your products or services. This can be a very exciting time, but often it can also be quite daunting, especially if it is the first time you have had to go through a recruitment process. Finding staff that are not only qualified and have the relevant experience you require, but can also be relied upon can be hard and you will have to try and carry out effective interviews so you can really find out the truth about candidates, as what they put on their CV may not always be completely accurate.

Some employers out tasks for the candidates that are applying for the position to complete during their interview process. This can allow them to see if they have the skills and experience that is required to do the job that they are looking to fill. Although this is a good way to fish out the people who exaggerated their CV a little too much, you may actually end missing out on a good candidate simply because their nerves got the better of them on the day.
