Posted on May 17, 2015 at 4:24 pm

Supply Teaching Agencies in Birmingham offer skilled, talented and experienced supply teachers for schools, to fill in for regular teachers.

In schools, regular teachers fall absent from time to time, for a variety of reasons ranging from illness to attending training courses, or from having to attend some personal tasks to having a tend a sick family member. Supply teachers play a crucial role in covering for such teachers in their absence. In many schools, the number of students may increase and there would not be enough full-time teachers to cater to all the students, resulting in a shortage of teachers on an almost daily basis. Running Training Courses

Posted on January 25, 2015 at 11:18 pm

If you have been working in a particular industry for a number of years you may have considered running training courses for other people wishing to get in to the industry. Becoming a trainer can not only be a very rewarding job but can also be quite well paid.

If you are interested in going down this route then you need to find out what (if any) qualifications you require. Certain industries require you to have a recognised teaching qualification to allow you to train others, this may require you returning to university or college which may mean that you are out of work for a time. This can have a massive impact on your financial situation and should be considered in detail before going forward.

As mentioned, training can be very rewarding. Knowing that you are responsible for training an individual or group of people to allow them to progress their career will be extremely fore filling.

How to pursue a new career

Posted on August 20, 2014 at 11:13 am

For many of us, a change in career is something that we may do once or twice in our lifetime. If you already have a secure job with a regular income, it can be hard giving this up to start on a new career path. Ideally you want to be able to do as much training and gain experience in the new industry before leaving a current job. If you have the opportunity, you could do a training course in your own time at home or attend college in the evenings.

People choose to take a change in their career for many reasons; sometimes it is for job satisfaction and other times due to personal circumstances changing. If you are serious about doing it, then try to plan ahead and see what types of jobs you would be able to apply for and if you can jump straight in or require extra training. If you can, try to save a little money to cover the period when you may be out of work or on a probationary job trial.

Even if you already have a job, you should consider training courses to keep up to date with changing work procedures. It doesn’t matter what business you’re in, best working practices change constantly, with innovative people coming up with new and better ways to do things all the time. As a professional in your field, it is your responsibility to put in the effort to continue to train, and improve. This is important, both to help your company succeed, and to improve your qualifications for future job opportunities. If you use the initiative to train while already employed, your employer may well be more prepared to increase your wages as well. Initiative can say a lot about a person, and from an employers perspective, they are all good things. They say that you are prepared to use your personal time to benefit yourself in a way that they can take advantage of. It means that the value you have as an employee can continue to grow.
